The pattern is worked flat in one piece and then the sides are being sewn together. The body is crocheted with the alternating spike stitch to create a sturdy fabric and the cover adds more texture with the beautiful shells dotted with colorful pearls-like stitches. I made the bag with a metal chain strap, but you can use a fabric strap or crochet a strap, and even use it without one. The bag is comfortable and light, but big enough for your purse and cellphone. The final dimensions of the bag are 10×6.5 in (26×17 cm).
