It’s late folks. Nearly midnight & the whole house is finally resting peacefully. A true night owl, I am the only one not yet snoozing. 😴
.
Honestly, I enjoy these quiet moments alone when the hustle & bustle of the day is over.
.
When I can finally breathe without thinking about what’s next on the agenda or what it was that someone needed me to do.
.
These are the rare moments when I can just be. It’s healing in a way. I have the joy of my sleeping family’s presence, the warmth of a cup of hot tea in my hands ☕️, and the peace of a still evening.
.
If I wasn’t so exhausted by the end of the day I would make this a nightly ritual! 😂😂😂

IT’S FAMILY DAY!!

Actually it has turned into family weekend! As part of our family New Year resolution we are reserving one day each weekend for family time. No work. No phones -emergencies only.

Yesterday was family day. We watched movies and ate Mexican. It was great.

After a nice breakfast out with the hubs, my bro came over with the kids. I’m going to call today Family Day part 2.

We are off with the kiddos for bowling and pizza. 😀🍕

Tonight I’ll grab some much needed crochet time! 🧶😃

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

Okay it’s New Year resolution time! For me I’ve learned the secret to being successful with my resolutions is to not have too many. 😂
.
I used to make a list and found that by the end of the year I hadn’t met any of them. Now in my wisdom (I prefer saying that to old age 😂) I shout for only one goal - one goal that can both my personal and business life.
.
And I’ve finally come to a determination. 2021 is going to be all about STREAMLINING - cutting the fat so to speak. I am only going to focus on those essential elements in my business & personal life that push my main goals forward.
.
So many times I find myself working harder not smarter, spinning my wheels and going no where. This year will be different.
.
That folks is my resolution for 2021!

LITTLE VICTORIES

First of all folks - Happy New Year! 🥳 I took the last few days off to spend some time with family and prep for 2021.
.
Over the last week or so I’ve been seeing a lot of “2020 Reflections” type posts and I kept telling myself I’d go back and respond to all the “What was your biggest success/win?” type questions - but I never did.
.
I think mainly because I didn’t know the answer. But today I read a post that resonated with me & I finally took the time to sit down and reflect on all my 2020 “wins”.
.
Ultimately what I discovered reminded me of one of my favorite Matt Nathanson songs. A song hat has typified so many years in my life called “Little Victories” & if you don’t know it, here is the main part:
.
“...and I’ll be awful sometimes, weakens to my knees, but I’ll learn to get by on the little victories...”
.
This was my 2020. A rough year for so many. But for me, in the end, after tallying up all the little wins I’ve come to realize that that I actually accomplished a lot - and that’s something to be proud of. 😊

Oh btw - one of mine was finally learning to do crochet cables! It only took me 3 years to get to it, but hey, it’s the little victories, right? 😂
