This is an easy crochet beginner pattern for a seed stitch baby blanket. It uses only two crochet stitches, the single crochet and the double crochet, the very basic of crochet skills. It is crocheted using super soft Bernant Baby Blanket yarn, so it’s warm and gentle on a baby’s delicate skin. It also works up quickly!
–Finished dimensions are 30-inch by 30-inch.
–Uses Bernant Baby Blanket yarn
I developed this pattern for my nephew, Waylon, born in February 2017. I wanted an extremely soft blanket and fell in love with Bernant Baby Blanket yarn because it was super soft. I knew little Waylon would just love to cuddle in it. The blanket can be completed in a day if you have about 6-8 uninterrupted hours. However, I crocheted it and wrote the pattern over several weeks due to time constraints. I have made 2 more blankets since and plan to make several more because it seems as if babies just keep being born! LOL
